Minimally invasive Surgery Program
INTERMEDIATE Level
The FTMISP for General and Pediatric Surgery is divided in 3 levels: BASIC, INTERMEDIATE, EXPERT and each level is composed by individual courses (the “steps” of the Program).
The INTERMEDIATE Level is targeted for General Surgery only an it includes the Bariatric TOUCH and the Colorectal TOUCH.
Bariatric TOUCH
Upper GI and Bariatric Minimally Invasive Surgery Course
BT was designed to deliver participants with the latest and best information about the pathology and surgical treatment of Upper Gi and Obesity Surgery.
It has a special focus on the Sleeve Gastrectomy and Gastric Bypass procedures and these procedures are simulated on a specific model on the First Trainer. This model also allows for vital hernia simulation and bowel anastomosis.
Colorectal TOUCH
Colorectal Minimally Invasive Surgery Course
CT has a special focus on Colorectal cancer and colectomy.
We designed a specific simulation model for performing a “safe” right Ileocolectomy so participants can train and master this procedure on the Simulation Platform. This model also allows for bowel anastomosis.
